CU, Two Types of ‘Eummmm!’ Sparkling and Red Wine
CU is launching two types of the Eummmm! series (Sparkling and Red) for customers planning home parties for the year-end. The Eummmm! series offers high-quality wines at around 10,000 KRW, providing great value for money. A total of 3 million bottles have been sold over about four years.
The ‘Eummmm! Sparkling Brut’ is the only sparkling wine in the Eummmm! series. It is produced by Luis Felipe Edwards (LFE) Group, a renowned Chilean wine producer who has received various awards including Wine Producer of the Year. This dry sparkling wine with low sweetness blends Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, harmonizing rich fruit aromas like green apple with citrus and floral scents.
The ‘Eummmm! Cabernet Sauvignon Double Oak’ is a Cabernet Sauvignon wine made from grapes grown in the Languedoc region of France by the LGI Group, which produces the wine ‘Ancien Temps.’ This wine features a label design that won the grand prize in CU’s wine label contest. Its flavors of black currant, tobacco leaf, and dark chocolate pair well with spicy and salty Korean dishes. Both products are priced at 12,900 KRW.
Daesang’s ‘Sanhowon Kimchi’ Created by U.S. Michelin 3-Star Chef
Daesang’s brand ‘Jongga’ is collaborating with Michelin 3-star chef Corey Lee to introduce two types of gourmet edition ‘Sanhowon Kimchi’ in the U.S. Corey Lee is the first Korean chef to receive three Michelin stars. He operates the fine dining restaurant ‘Benu’ and the casual Korean restaurant ‘Sanhowon’ in San Francisco, U.S. Daesang is launching premium kimchi with Corey Lee’s Sanhowon to promote the appeal of kimchi in the rapidly growing U.S. market. Sanhowon Kimchi is available in two types: ‘Original Kimchi’ and ‘Baek Kimchi.’ The Original Kimchi is characterized by its natural umami flavor enhanced with seaweed called cheonggak, rich in vitamins and minerals, and vegetable broth. Baek Kimchi is slowly fermented through a low fermentation process, allowing the refreshing broth flavor and crispness of the ingredients to last longer. It also includes the sweetness of apple for a mild and smooth taste. Both products come in 680g portions, cut into bite-sized pieces suitable for eating as seasoned kimchi.
Dongwon Industries Launches ‘Tuna Yukhoe,’ a Nutritious Seafood Dish
Dongwon Industries has launched a new concept product called ‘Tuna Yukhoe,’ which processes tuna like yukhoe (Korean-style raw beef dish). Instead of processing tuna caught by Dongwon Industries for sashimi, this product is sliced like yukhoe to maximize texture. Dongwon Industries developed a dedicated sauce through joint research and development with its affiliate Dongwon Home Food. Since October, this product was introduced on a trial basis at Traders Wholesale Club nationwide, offered as a limited edition at each branch, and sold out quickly. Encouraged by this popularity, Dongwon Industries will officially start selling ‘Tuna Yukhoe’ at Traders Wholesale Club from the 19th and plans to expand supply channels in the future. The price is 17,980 KRW per 400g.
Dongseo Foods Releases Two Types of ‘Dongseo Ma-eumurin Hojicha’
Dongseo Foods has launched two types of premium roasted green tea, ‘Dongseo Ma-eumurin Hojicha.’ Hojicha is tea made by roasting green tea leaves at high temperatures. During the roasting process, catechins and caffeine, which cause the bitter and astringent taste typical of green tea, are reduced, resulting in a soft and savory flavor. Compared to regular green tea, it has a lower caffeine content, making it enjoyable for everyone without burden. The newly released products are ‘Dongseo Ma-eumurin Hojicha’ and ‘Dongseo Ma-eumurin Yuzu Hojicha.’ Dongseo Ma-eumurin Hojicha is made by carefully selecting 100% domestic (Hadong and Sacheon) green tea leaves and roasting them slowly twice at an optimal temperature to bring out the soft flavor of hojicha. Dongseo Ma-eumurin Yuzu Hojicha adds yuzu granules to the smooth hojicha for a refreshing aroma.
SJ Group’s Kangol and Kangol Kids Launch 2025 New Semester Bags
SJ Group’s brands ‘Kangol’ and ‘Kangol Kids’ have launched new semester bags targeting 2025. Kangol and Kangol Kids are SJ Group’s core casual and children’s brands. They are targeting the year-end and New Year bag season, which has broad demand from elementary school to university students early next year. Kangol highlights key products such as the lightweight nylon ‘Icon Alpha Backpack,’ the ‘Icon Quantum Backpack’ with air mesh cushions, the ‘Deuce V Backpack’ featuring front kangaroo embroidery and pocket details, and the ‘Retrocore Standard Backpack’ emphasizing light weight and water resistance. Kangol Kids offers the ‘Classic Jose Backpack,’ combining classic style and lightness, and the ‘Tommy Backpack,’ featuring a convenient D-shaped open structure for easy opening and closing, as main products.
Able C&C Chogongjin Launches Two ‘2025 Limited Edition Planning Sets’
Beauty company Able C&C’s ‘Chogongjin’ is releasing a ‘New Year Limited Edition Planning Set’ to commemorate the Year of the Snake 2025, inspired by the blue snake motif. Chogongjin is a premium anti-aging brand that offers strong and firm skin through precious herbal ingredient formulations. The planning sets consist of two types: the representative total anti-aging line ‘Youngan’ and the elasticity lifting line ‘Sosaeng.’ Each set includes three full-sized products?skin toner, lotion, and cream?and five samples such as essence and cream. Able C&C Chogongjin will run various promotions until January 31 next year. All Chogongjin planning sets are discounted up to 30%, with a 40% discount for purchases of two or more, and up to 50% discount for online and offline membership customers. Additionally, customers who purchase over 70,000 KRW will receive a ‘Sosaeng Miniature 5-piece Set’ as a bonus.
