This evaluation meeting was organized to share the progress of programs by affiliated institutions related to S-OIL’s social contribution program support project, which has been operating since March this year, to evaluate activities, aiming to improve the quality of future program operations and to provide a venue for exchange and communication among stakeholders.
The ‘Sunshine Sharing Volunteer Program Support Project’ is a representative social contribution activity of S-OIL, where social welfare facilities and institutions are matched one-to-one with the S-OIL Volunteer Corps to support volunteers and budgets needed for various experience programs targeting vulnerable groups. S-OIL sponsors 100 million KRW annually, and the Ulsan Volunteer Center organizes and operates the program.
The social welfare facilities and institutions linked to this year’s Sunshine Sharing Volunteer Program Support Project include Naewadongsan Somang Rehabilitation Center, Munsu Silver Welfare Center, Ulsan City 2nd Disabled Sports Center, Ulsan Nam-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Disabled Daycare Center affiliated with Ulsan Nam-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Ulsan Chamsarang House, Jung-gu Senior Welfare Center, and Jung-gu Youth Center (in alphabetical order), totaling eight locations. A total of 668 corporate volunteers (cumulative) participated in volunteer activities targeting 1,627 vulnerable elderly, disabled, and youth, leading warm-sharing activities to promote welfare for vulnerable groups.
S-OIL is promoting employee volunteer activation in cooperation with the Ulsan Volunteer Center through campaigns such as the companion beach cleanup campaign, meal support activities for Chuseok, home repair activities for vulnerable groups, and volunteer training for new employees.
