The delivery ceremony was attended by Yangju Mayor Kang Su-hyun, Chairman Kim Doo-jin, and related officials. The city plans to distribute the received items to vulnerable groups in the area through the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest.
Chairman Kim Doo-jin stated, “Our Social Normalization Movement Headquarters has been engaged in citizen activities and sharing campaigns to improve wrong practices and systems,” adding, “We hope that the marginalized groups, who are vulnerable to fires during the winter season, will use the safety kits to prevent fires and have a warm winter.”
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju expressed deep gratitude for the warm heart of the Social Normalization Movement Headquarters, saying, “As a cold wave is expected this winter and concerns about fires are increasing, this donation will greatly help low-income marginalized groups live safely,” and added, “We will deliver this neighborly love well to households vulnerable to fire.”
