Hanam-si to Hold 2025 Major Business Plan Reporting Meeting... Focus on Achieving Results

Lee Hyun-jae, Mayor of Hanam City, expressed his ambition through the ‘2025 Major Work Plan Report Meeting,’ stating, “As we enter the third year of the 8th term of the elected administration next year, we will focus on ensuring that the major pending projects pursued so far yield tangible results.”

Presided over by Mayor Lee, the ‘2025 Major Work Plan Report Meeting’ is being held from the 16th to the 23rd for all departments and invested/subsidized institutions. It is conducted in a manner that shares the achievements of major projects and reports and discusses the direction and detailed plans for next year’s core projects.


In particular, this major work report meeting is planned to be completed within December so that full-scale project implementation can begin at the start of 2025. Through reports at the national level (including invested and subsidized institutions), the plan is to break down silos between departments and institutions, enhance understanding of projects, and conduct prior inspections and improvements to ensure smooth progress of major projects.


First, at the Public Relations Officer work report meeting held on the 16th, Mayor Lee requested, “Since Hanam City has received excellent evaluations such as ranking 4th in the metropolitan area for livability in 2024 and 1st nationwide in the comprehensive civil service evaluation, please strengthen publicity to the highest national level.”


At the Planning and Finance Bureau work report meeting, he ordered △ devising efficient budget execution plans △ discovering hidden tax resources △ actively securing national and provincial funds △ and preparing in advance for each stage of public building projects to keep the promised opening dates to citizens.


At the Welfare Bureau work report meeting held on the 17th, he urged, “Since the welfare budget accounts for half of the city’s total budget, please consider practical support measures that satisfy welfare recipients,” and instructed △ expanding quality jobs for seniors △ expanding Dahamkke Care Centers to resolve childcare gaps △ and ensuring the smooth construction of the Children’s Hall.


The Autonomous Administration Bureau and Hanam City Volunteer Center announced plans to △ nurture key talents such as global public officials for the top metropolitan city △ provide proactive civil service desired by citizens △ newly install CCTV for resident safety △ expand public sports facilities by region △ and promote volunteerism through incentives such as mileage points.


At the subsequent Economic and Cultural Bureau and Hanam Cultural Foundation report meeting, Mayor Lee instructed △ comprehensive corporate support including incentives for investment-attracting companies and holding corporate policy briefings △ fostering digital traditional markets and cultural tourism markets △ integrated support for youth-related policies such as jobs, housing, and welfare △ and revitalizing cultural tourism by linking busking with food offerings, adding, “Please strive to build an economic ecosystem where companies, youth, traditional markets, and small merchants coexist for economic revitalization.”


Mayor Lee emphasized, “Next year marks the latter half of the 8th term of the elected administration, so it is a year to produce tangible achievements proving Hanam’s leap forward,” and urged, “All staff should actively work to ensure that the policies pursued so far bear fruit.”


Meanwhile, the 2025 Major Work Plan Report Meeting will proceed on the following schedule: △ 18th for the Urban Housing Bureau and Transportation Construction Bureau △ 20th for the Safety Environment Bureau, Future City Project Group, and Hanam Urban Corporation △ and 23rd for the Health Center, Eco-friendly Business Office, and Lifelong Education Center.
