In this year's final knowledge lecture, pianist Kim Yong-jin and cellist Kim Seong-bin were invited to present "Story on the Cello & Piano," offering employees humanistic insights and deep emotions.
In particular, this special lecture was conducted in a unique format combining classical humanities lectures with live performances, receiving great acclaim by artistically interpreting the life journeys of classical music masters, the messages contained in their works, and the timeless values.
An employee who attended the lecture said, "At the end of the year, it was a meaningful time to gain comfort and inspiration through art and to reflect on myself."
Kang Hye-sook, head of the Human Resources Department, stated, "Art and humanities are important nutrients that can cultivate creative thinking and insight for public officials," adding, "We will continue to provide new perspectives and inspiration to employees through various forms of humanities lectures."
'Knowledge Lecture Thehagi' is a program designed to provide Namyangju City public officials with diverse job insights and assist in establishing municipal vision and policy goals.
This year, the series was held five times, starting with Mayor Joo Gwang-deok's first lecture, followed by Trend Korea 2024 (Professor Jeon Mi-young, Seoul National University), Global Economic Outlook and Change Management (Professor Park Jeong-ho, Myongji University), A Masterpiece That Changed My Life (Docent Jeong Woo-cheol), and the classic humanities special lecture.
Namyangju City plans to continuously offer lectures in various fields such as social trends, industrial economy, organizational communication, humanities, and arts and culture to public officials through the '2025 Knowledge Lecture Thehagi' series next year as well.
