At this Mobile Mayor's Office, attended by 25 village community activists active in Paju City, various opinions were presented on the development direction of village community activities where residents solve village problems by themselves.

The activists unanimously agreed on the need to expand support for activity spaces to revitalize village community activities, simplify administrative tasks, and provide long-term support. Paju City stated that it will further strengthen support such as various education and consulting, and the establishment of a network system among communities to improve the quality of village community activities.

Meanwhile, Paju City has been striving for systematic support of village community projects and sustainable development of village communities by enacting the Ordinance on Support and Operation of Village Communities in Paju City in 2016. This year, through a public contest, it supported about 100 million KRW in project funds to 40 village communities.

Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City said, “I applaud the passion of the village communities who create a better tomorrow by themselves, and because of the power of village communities that create daily life together, our future remains hopeful,” expressing gratitude and support for the dedicated efforts of activists to revitalize village communities.
