Busan Regional Veterans Office Holds Opening Ceremony for 'Bobi House No. 139'

The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Lee Nam-il) held the opening ceremony for the 139th Bobi House on the 17th at the home of Elderly Kim in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, in collaboration with the Korea Electric Power Corporation Busan-Ulsan Headquarters (Head Lee Kyung-yoon).

Elderly Kim, a family member of a war merit recipient, is 87 years old this year and has difficulty moving around. The house was old and uncomfortable, causing significant psychological distress.

Through the Community Chest of Korea, with sponsorship from the Korea Electric Power Corporation Busan-Ulsan Headquarters and donations from employees of the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office, support was provided for wallpapering the entire house, replacing the sink, and painting the veranda.

Elderly Kim expressed gratitude, saying, "It feels like a new house. I am truly thankful to the Korea Electric Power Corporation Busan-Ulsan Headquarters and the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office."

The Bobi House project is a specialized housing improvement initiative by the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office, which began in October 2007 and has now reached its 139th house. The Busan office plans to continue this project to improve the housing environment for low-income elderly veteran families residing in Busan.
