Establishing a Collaborative System from Startup to Growth in the Seafood Industry Sector
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, signed a tripartite business agreement on the 16th with Daegu Haany University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and the Gyeongbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation to support and foster local seafood products and create a vibrant startup ecosystem.

The main contents of this agreement include △ mutual cooperation to create a startup ecosystem △ holding joint academic events such as education and workshops to discover entrepreneurs △ mutual cooperation to revitalize the operation of the Yeongdeok U&I Seafood Complex Platform and residential platform △ mutual cooperation to support and foster seafood products.
Park Su-jin, Vice President of Industry-Academic Affairs at Daegu Haany University, stated, “We will do our best to actively engage in exchange cooperation and corporate support linked to local industries so that the Lohas Seafood Product Support Center, which will become a hub complex for the East Sea seafood product industry, can continue to grow and develop as expected.”
Following this, Lee Moon-rak, Director of the Gyeongbuk Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, said, “Through this agreement, we will support rookie entrepreneurs, united by innovation and a spirit of challenge, in every possible way to help them achieve their dreams.”
County Governor Kim Kwang-yeol said, “Based on active exchange and cooperation between parties, we will focus on discovering and fostering seafood product industries with future value and actively support the enhancement of corporate value, thereby leading the capabilities and competitiveness of local seafood product companies and realizing the vision that the seafood product industry can become a catalyst for revitalizing the local economy, step by step.”
