Upon receiving the suspected avian influenza report, the province immediately deployed an initial response team to the site to implement preemptive quarantine measures such as access control and epidemiological investigation, and plans to carry out prompt preventive culling.

In addition, to prevent and curb the spread of avian influenza, the province plans to issue a temporary standstill order for all duck farms and related facilities within the province.

This temporary standstill order will be issued for 24 hours from 9 a.m. on the 18th to 9 a.m. on the 19th, targeting 'all Dasol Duck affiliates nationwide, duck farms and related livestock facilities (feed factories, slaughterhouses, etc.) and livestock vehicles' within the province.

An official from Jeonbuk Self-Governing Province said, "To prevent and curb the spread of avian influenza, please strictly comply with quarantine rules such as disinfecting vehicles and people entering farms, disinfecting and changing boots when entering barns," and added, "If you observe suspected symptoms of highly pathogenic avian influenza such as increased mortality or decreased egg production in poultry, please report it immediately to the quarantine authorities."
