Kim Gil-seong, Mayor of Jung-gu, Seoul, Elected President of the Association of Mayors of Central Districts in Major Cities Nationwide

Jung-gu, Seoul announced on the 18th that District Mayor Kim Gil-seong was elected as the chairman at the ‘36th National Large City Central District Mayors' Council’ held the previous day in Jung-gu, Incheon. Mayor Kim will take on the role of chairman to lead cooperation and development among central districts.

This event was organized to strengthen close communication and cooperation among the central districts of seven major cities nationwide, including Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju, Daejeon, and Ulsan. Attendees included Kim Gil-seong, Mayor of Jung-gu, Seoul; Choi Jin-bong, Mayor of Jung-gu, Busan; Ryu Gyu-ha, Mayor of Jung-gu, Daegu; Kim Jeong-hyun, Mayor of Jung-gu, Incheon; Lim Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, Gwangju; Kim Je-seon, Mayor of Jung-gu, Daejeon; and Kim Young-gil, Mayor of Jung-gu, Ulsan.

Mayor Kim attracted attention by introducing the ‘AI Naepyeon Jung-gu’ administrative service integration platform, a representative example of digital administrative innovation, and the ‘Namsan Jarak Supgil,’ a premium forest zone accessible within 15 minutes anywhere in Jung-gu.

After the meeting, attendees toured ‘Aurora-gil,’ a representative attraction of Jung-gu, Incheon, and ‘Le Space,’ an advanced media art exhibition hall, to discuss ways to revitalize urban cultural and tourism content.
