GS Caltex, Year-End Heating Oil Sharing Volunteer Activity

"Continuing Activities for Energy-Vulnerable Groups"

GS Caltex announced on the 18th that it conducted a heating oil sharing volunteer activity for energy-vulnerable groups to mark the end of the year.

GS Caltex employees visited Guryong Village in Gangnam-gu, Seoul the day before, delivering heating oil directly to elderly people living alone and households with mobility difficulties, supporting neighbors struggling with the cold to have a warm winter.

This volunteer activity was organized to share warm energy with local neighbors facing difficulties due to the recent economic crisis and soaring heating oil prices, and to fulfill social responsibility as an energy company.

A GS Caltex official said, "We decided to provide support with the hope of helping neighbors who are facing increasing economic hardships due to high inflation and recession, even if only a little," adding, "We will continue to expand social contribution activities for energy-vulnerable groups as well as energy-saving and efficiency improvement projects."

Meanwhile, GS Caltex has been conducting a 'year-end relay volunteer activity' for marginalized neighbors for 20 years since 2005, including heating oil sharing volunteer work, kimchi sharing, and support for heating supplies and daily necessities. It is also actively practicing energy saving by donating 10 billion KRW to the Korea Energy Foundation to support heating costs, window, insulation, and boiler energy efficiency improvements for low-income households.
