Aekyung Industrial, LG Household & Health Care Provide Daily Necessities Support Worth 100 Million KRW
Distributed to Low-Income Residents and Local Welfare Facilities via Geumcheon-gu Food Bank Center
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that '(Corporation) People Sharing Hope' provided goods worth 100 million KRW on December 17 to support low-income families in the area.
'(Corporation) People Sharing Hope' is a nonprofit organization established in 2007 that operates various programs to support the growth of children and adolescents from low-income vulnerable groups.
They also strive to support vulnerable groups through various activities such as scholarship support, computer donations, cultural experiences, and daily necessities sponsorship.
The donated goods consist of daily necessities provided by companies such as Aekyung Industrial and LG Household & Health Care, totaling 100 million KRW worth of essential products for everyday life. The donated items will be delivered to welfare facilities and neighbors in need within the region through the Geumcheon-gu Food Bank Center.
Kim Jeong-an, president of '(Corporation) People Sharing Hope,' stated, "We prepared this donation with the hope that low-income children and adolescents can spend a warmer year-end, even if just a little," and added, "We will continue to practice the value of sharing with marginalized neighbors and strive to create a society where we live together."
Yu Seong-hoon, mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "This donation of goods will be a great help to neighbors in need within the region," and expressed, "We deeply appreciate the foundation for continuously practicing beautiful sharing despite difficult circumstances, and we will continue to work with the local community to create a Geumcheon-gu without welfare blind spots."
