Namywon City in North Jeolla Province announced on the 17th that it has signed a "Business Agreement for Discovering New Industries and Fostering Talent in the Future Mobility Sector" with the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and RIS Future Transportation Equipment Project Group of Jeonbuk National University.
This agreement was promoted to secure growth engines for the local industry through mutual cooperation, such as collaboration for discovering new businesses and providing education to nurture talent in the future mobility sector.

Through this agreement, Namwon City, the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, and the Future Transportation Equipment Project Group of Jeonbuk National University have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: ▲Mutual cooperation for discovering new businesses in the future transportation equipment sector ▲Collaboration in education for fostering talent in the future transportation equipment sector ▲Other mutual cooperation projects for joint development.
In January next year, about 10 high school students from the Namwon area will be selected to participate in observation classes at San Jose State University in the United States and visit companies in Silicon Valley, where they will attend special lectures by experts on future mobility and participate in an idea competition.
An official from Namwon City stated, "This agreement is expected to serve as a good example of local governments and regional universities working together to prepare for future industries," and added, "We will continue to cooperate with the Jeonbuk National University Future Transportation Equipment Project Group to discover new industries in the future mobility sector and produce customized talent needed for the local industry, achieving meaningful results."
