Jeju Samdasoo received the highest honor, the Presidential Award, at the 26th Korea Brand Awards held on the 12th.
The Korea Brand Awards is the only government award in Korea related to branding, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Industrial Policy Research Institute. It is awarded to organizations that foster outstanding brands and contribute to the development of the national economy. This is the first time a bottled water brand has received the Presidential Award. Jeju Samdasoo has further solidified its status as Korea's leading bottled water by being recognized for its innovative brand management, strict quality control, and unrivaled brand value.
Since its launch in 1998, Jeju Samdasoo has led the domestic bottled water market through continuous quality innovation and customer-centric management. In January, it officially proved its "world-class taste" by becoming the first Korean brand to win the "Diamond Taste Award" at the prestigious 2024 International Taste Institute.
The brand also demonstrated differentiation in its campaigns. Through advertising campaigns such as "Land Protection" and "Water Quality Management," it authentically conveyed to consumers its commitment to strict quality control and protection of water sources with messages like "water that bought up even the land around the water source" and "water protected by 106 monitoring networks without distraction."
Baek Kyunghoon, CEO of Jeju Development Corporation, said on the 17th, "Being the first bottled water brand to receive the Presidential Award is a result of Jeju Samdasoo's excellent quality and brand value being recognized at a national level," and added, "We will continue to provide the highest value to consumers through ongoing innovation and quality management."
Meanwhile, Jeju Samdasoo plans to use this Presidential Award as an opportunity to further strengthen its role as Korea’s leading premium bottled water brand by practicing even stricter quality management, sustainable management, and consumer-centered service innovation.
