Ulsan Office of Education, Regular Personnel Changes for 524 Local Government Officials

Personnel Appointments Including 56 Promotions and 312 Transfers

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) announced the regular personnel appointments for 524 local government officials, including promotions and transfers, effective January 1, 2025, on the 17th.

The subjects include 56 promotions, 312 transfers, 46 new appointments, 10 education training dispatches, 18 retirement preparation trainings, 24 retirements, and 58 leaves and reinstatements, totaling 524 personnel.

With this personnel reshuffle, Choi Jong-gil, Deputy Director of Local Government, will move from Administrative Director to Director of Ulsan Library, and Choi Hyung-geun, Director of the Southern Library, will take the position of Administrative Director.

Seo Chan-im, Director of the Education Training Center; Lee Jun-hyung, Customer Support Team Leader of the General Affairs Division; and Choi Myung-ran, Property and Private School Team Leader of the Education Environment Improvement Division, were promoted to Local Secretary. Director Seo was appointed as Deputy Director of Ulsan Education Training Institute, while Team Leaders Lee and Choi were appointed as education training dispatchers at the Central Education Training Institute.

The Ulsan Office of Education has terminated the operation of the temporary Green Smart Future School Promotion Team due to organizational restructuring and integrated its personnel operations into the Education Facilities Division. Personnel were allocated appropriately reflecting administrative demands such as the designation and operation of education development special zones, strengthening protection of educational activities, enhancing planning for Neulbom School, and new or relocated schools.

In particular, administrative support personnel were assigned ahead of the establishment of Ulsan Hyomun Elementary School and Ulsan Online School, as well as the relocation of Yaksu Elementary School, to accelerate preparations for the March opening and relocation.

Transfers for positions below grade 6 were assigned by comprehensively considering transfer point systems, characteristics of institutions (departments), individual job capabilities, preferred locations, and residences to place the most suitable candidates.

This regular personnel appointment is expected to contribute to securing trust in personnel administration, boosting employee morale, and enhancing organizational performance.
