Approval Completed for Consignment Development Project Plan
Construction to Start in 2026... Target Completion in 2028
The construction project of the ‘Yangju-si Okjeong 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center,’ which is being reborn to provide services directly connected to citizens' lives at the closest location, is progressing smoothly.
Yangju-si (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 17th that it has completed approval of the ‘Okjeong 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center Construction Project Development Plan’ at the ‘Shared Property Deliberation Committee’ held in the situation room on the 2nd floor of City Hall.
With this approval, the preliminary procedures for promoting the entrusted development project related to the construction of the ‘Okjeong 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center’ have been completed.
The ‘Okjeong 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center,’ planned to be built at 1054-2 Okjeong-dong within the jurisdiction, will be constructed with a total project cost of 43.5 billion KRW and will have a total area of approximately 6,048㎡, consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors.
In particular, the center is planned to be developed not only with administrative welfare center functions but also as a ‘citizens’ space’ that strengthens self-sufficient functions such as a residents’ autonomy center and a youth rest cafe, where various cultural and leisure activities can be enjoyed.
Yangju-si explained that it aims to start land acquisition, public architecture review, design competition, and detailed design next year, with construction beginning in 2026 and completion targeted for 2028.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju-si said, “With the construction of the Okjeong 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center, we plan to provide customized administrative and welfare services that meet the needs of local residents,” and added, “We will do our best to contribute to improving the quality of life of local residents.”
