Hanam City Youth Counseling Welfare Center Successfully Completes Package Parent Education Season 2

Gyeonggi Hanam City (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 17th that the ‘Package Parent Education Season 2,’ conducted as part of the 8th term public pledge to ‘Strengthen Psychological Counseling Programs,’ has successfully concluded with the support and positive response of citizens.

Now in its second year, the ‘Package Parent Education’ program, hosted by the Hanam Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, is held at the Hanam Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, Wirye Administrative Welfare Center (second half of the year), and Gam-il Public Complex Building (second half of the year). It is a program that educates parents on how to effectively communicate with their adolescent children.

This year, a total of 30 sessions were conducted under themes such as ▲Regular (understanding adolescent developmental characteristics and effective communication methods) ▲Theme (‘How to communicate with today’s adolescents,’ psychological lessons for mothers by a psychiatrist, etc.) ▲Special Lectures (Tanghulu taste, how to handle our children addicted to short-form videos, adolescent self-directed learning methods taught by psychologists, etc.).

A citizen who participated in the Package Parent Education said, “It was very helpful to learn how to approach the problems my child is experiencing as a parent.”

Another participant expressed high satisfaction, saying, “It was good to be able to think deeply about parenting by regularly attending the education sessions.”

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae of Hanam City emphasized, “Thanks to actively reflecting the educational content that parents desired, we were able to successfully complete this year’s Package Parent Education program with great interest and response. Our city will continue to do its best to ensure that both parents and children grow up healthy and happy through Hanam City’s unique specialized Package Parent Education.”
