Emergency Situation... Growing Call to Hold Year-End Parties to Revive Local Economy

Yuseonghun, Geumcheon-gu Mayor, Orders Department Year-End Party on 16th... Requests Closing Cafeteria This Friday and Using Nearby Restaurants

Emergency Situation... Growing Call to Hold Year-End Parties to Revive Local Economy

Due to the presidential impeachment crisis, year-end parties have been canceled, leading to a contraction in local commercial districts centered around restaurants, prompting the preparation of measures to revitalize them.

On the 16th, Yuseonghun, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, encouraged employees by saying, "Let's hold the postponed department year-end parties modestly."

Mayor Yuseonghun said, "There are growing voices that local commercial districts such as restaurants are shrinking," and added, "It seems helpful for public officials to hold the scheduled year-end parties so that the daily lives of residents can be restored."

Accordingly, the district office decided not to operate the restaurant within the office this Friday, the 20th.

In a phone interview with reporters on the 17th, Mayor Yuseonghun said, "To revive the local economy, we will hold a 'Livelihood Economy Communication Meeting' with businesspeople and small merchants, as well as an emergency economic countermeasure meeting."

Amid an already difficult economy for ordinary citizens, the continuation of impeachment following martial law has further contracted the livelihood economy, raising urgent calls for measures to uplift the social atmosphere.
