Gwangju Buk-gu, 'Volunteer Honor Certification Ceremony V-Awards' Event

Buk-gu, Gwangju City, will hold the ‘Buk-gu Volunteer Honor Certification Ceremony V-Awards’ event on the afternoon of the 19th at the Sihwa Cultural Village Culture Center.


On the 17th, the district announced that the event was prepared to honor volunteers who take the lead in addressing local issues and problems and invigorate the community, as well as to increase residents' participation in volunteer activities.


On the day, about 200 people, including Moon In, the mayor of Buk-gu, volunteers, and related personnel, will participate in activities such as ‘Volunteer Activity Video Screening,’ ‘Honor Certification Award Ceremony,’ and ‘Volunteer Activation Performance.’

This year’s volunteer honor certification recipients are a total of 112 local residents who have participated in more than 365 hours of volunteer activities in Buk-gu over the past year among volunteers affiliated with the Buk-gu Volunteer Center registered on the 1365 Volunteer Portal. Among them, one person with the highest volunteer hours and one person with the highest number of volunteer activities will each receive the ‘V-Top Leader Honor Plaque,’ and 110 people will receive the ‘V-Excellent Leader Honor Certificate.’


Mayor Moon said, “The sacrifice and dedication of volunteers have always been a force that wisely solves social problems, and we will continue to support volunteers so that they can take pride in their activities.”
