The Paju City Tourism Souvenir Contest was established to discover excellent tourism souvenirs that creatively express the characteristics of Paju, effectively promote local tourism resources, and foster the growth of local businesses. From June to August, a total of 29 works were submitted, and after judging, five final works were selected as award winners.

The prestigious Grand Prize was awarded to the ‘Jangdan Sambak Natural Soap,’ made using Paju’s representative specialties?Hansuwi rice, Jangdan soybeans, and Gaeseong ginseng?and is a vegan-certified product that does not use any animal-derived ingredients. The Gold Prize went to the ‘Paju Jangdan Soybean Drip Bag Coffee,’ a blend of Jangdan soybeans and coffee in drip bag form. The Silver Prize was awarded to three works: a T-shirt expressing major tourist attractions in Paju titled ‘Paju, in My Embrace,’ made with organic magnolia flowers cultivated in the DMZ clean area; and a ceramic teacup themed on peace and hope called ‘Embracing Peace, Soaring Paju.’

Paju City plans to continue exhibiting the award-winning works at major tourist sites such as Imjingak, starting with this exhibition to widely promote them. Additionally, they will actively promote the works by producing and distributing brochures that include explanations and purchase information about the award-winning items.
