A fire broke out at around 6:24 PM on the 16th at a 17-story knowledge industry center located in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The fire was extinguished after about two hours. Twenty-four people inside the center were rescued, and 350 people evacuated. It was confirmed that there were no casualties.
The fire started on the first floor, which features a pilotis structure connecting two buildings. Fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
