Starting from this day, traveling nationwide to protest... Arriving in Seoul on the 21st
Farmers are driving tractors toward Seoul, demanding the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol.
The National Peasants' Federation announced on the 16th via social media (SNS) that "the Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group's tractor march to change the world has begun," adding, "The Jeon Bong-jun Struggle Group held departure ceremonies for the East and West troops at the West Government Complex of Gyeongnam Province and the Jeonnam Provincial Office, respectively, at 10 a.m. and took their first steps toward Seoul."
They continued, "Aiming to enter Seoul this weekend, we will march across the country with all citizens toward the arrest, detention, and dismissal of Yoon Suk-yeol, as well as toward a farmers' world and comprehensive social reform."
The federation will hold tractor marches nationwide, including Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon, until the 21st. In Gyeongsang Province, the East troop, and in Honam, the West troop, held departure ceremonies and set off, with plans to arrive in Seoul on the 21st.
They demanded 12 reform measures, including the arrest and punishment of President Yoon Suk-yeol and collaborators in the rebellion, ▲dissolution of the People Power Party, ▲implementation of a minimum price system for agricultural products, ▲abolition of labor discrimination, and ▲abolition of open agricultural policies.
Kwon Young-sik, head of the Rice Association's Gwangju-Jeonnam branch, stated in the departure declaration, "The authority of Yoon Suk-yeol, who shamelessly seized the presidency after inciting rebellion, has finally been suspended," adding, "Although the impeachment vote stopped Yoon Suk-yeol's rampage, we can never stop here." He emphasized, "Only by dissolving the People Power Party, the co-conspirators in the rebellion, and removing the cabinet members who abetted the rebellion, will Yoon Suk-yeol's era come to an end."
