Expecting Local Commercial Revitalization through Discount Sales of Food, Educational Tools, and Other Products
The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 16th that it will broadcast the '2024 Guri City Small Business Live Commerce' five times over three days from the 18th to the 20th to support local small business owners in expanding their sales channels and entering the online market.
Live commerce is a broadcast that introduces and sells products through real-time video streaming, serving as an interactive media broadcast that communicates with viewers via online channels to sell products.
The products featured in this broadcast include 13 items from 9 companies: ▲ four types of granola from Good Morning Granola ▲ dumpling pies from Dumplia de Ire ▲ coffee drip bags and beans from K-Coffee ▲ mugwort rice cakes from Hamjibak Tteokjip ▲ galbitang, seolleongtang, and jangteo gukbap from Matdeul Food ▲ strawberry glutinous rice cakes from Susukkotdari ▲ wooden educational toys from the Regional Self-Support Center ▲ Basque cheesecake from Sugar Lump ▲ iron plate chicken galbi and charcoal-grilled chicken galbi from Park Seobang Chuncheon Dakgalbi.
The broadcasts will be streamed live on Naver Smart Store: on the 18th at the ‘Good Morning Granola’ store, and on the 19th and 20th on the channel ‘Market JamongON.’ Broadcast times vary by company, scheduled at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, “This project marks the starting point for expanding sales channels by providing tailored support for Guri’s small business owners to enter the online market. By actively responding to the non-face-to-face online distribution environment, I hope it will lead to increased product promotion and sales. This is not only an opportunity to promote products but also to introduce Guri nationwide, so I ask for the citizens’ great interest and participation.”
Meanwhile, Guri City first implemented the live commerce support project last year, contributing to increased sales for small business owners and strengthening online sales capabilities, with 90% of participating companies’ products sold out.
