"Moved by the Passion for Learning"... Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Congratulates Mapo School Graduates

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the seminar room of Mapo Central Library on the morning of December 16th for the '2024 Mapo School Completion Ceremony.'

'Mapo School' is a program by Mapo District that supports basic education such as Korean literacy education for adults who missed learning opportunities, as well as music and art.

The completion ceremony was attended by 77 graduates who completed the one-year course of Mapo School and 7 instructors.

At the ceremony, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, personally presented certificates of appreciation, long-term service awards, passionate learning awards, and certificates of completion, congratulating the graduates who did not give up on learning.

Following this, Lee Seon-jae, principal of Ilseong Girls' Middle and High School and honorary principal of Mapo School, gave a congratulatory speech, followed by a poetry reading by a representative graduate and a congratulatory performance by the singing class learners.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, “I give my respectful applause to all of you who have gained new fruits of learning at Mapo School through relentless passion and effort,” and added, “Mapo District will continue to support you as a partner and will spare no effort to repay your enthusiasm for education.”
