Positive Reviews for Policies on Livelihood Recovery, Job Creation, and Support for Small Business Owners
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Hee-su) announced on the 16th that it received the grand prize along with a prize money of 17 million won at the ‘2024 Job Fair’ hosted by Jeollanam-do, held at the Eastern Government Complex of Jeollanam-do on the 13th.
Jeollanam-do selected the winners by evaluating 13 indicators across 4 sectors aimed at improving the quality of life for residents and revitalizing the local economy through discovering and spreading excellent economic policies in 22 cities and counties throughout the year.

The county has been discovering and implementing various policies to restore the livelihood economy, create jobs, and support small business owners. It contributed to stabilizing local prices through freezing public utility fees and designating Good Price Businesses, and was recognized for increasing small business owners’ income and easing management burdens through support such as interest subsidy for small business loans, customized special contribution guarantee agreements, and encouragement subsidies for joining the Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid.
In particular, the county promoted various events and policies to build a virtuous economic cycle using local love gift certificates and to revitalize commercial districts. It energized commercial areas through the creation of the Renaissance Exciting Street and the Ssin-na-bu-ne event, enhancing merchants’ capabilities and injecting vitality into the local economy.
Governor Kim Hee-su said, “We have achieved good results through efforts to revitalize the economy,” and added, “We will continue to strive to improve the quality of life for residents by discovering excellent policies.”
