Gwangju City, Dream Start Children's Universal Ballet Company Nutcracker Performance Viewing

Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) announced on the 16th that it held a cultural experience event featuring the ballet "The Nutcracker" for 85 Dream Start children and their families on the 14th, hosted by the Gwangju Cultural Foundation.

The event, held at Namhansanseong Art Hall, was organized to bridge the cultural gap for children from vulnerable groups and to create a healthy nurturing environment. In cooperation with the Gwangju Cultural Foundation, attendees were able to enjoy a high-quality universal ballet performance.


Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "I hope this event can provide cultural opportunities for vulnerable groups and contribute to the emotional development of children," adding, "We will continue to do our best to support various welfare services so that children from vulnerable groups can nurture their dreams and become future leaders."


Meanwhile, the city operates the "Dream Start Team," which focuses on case management for vulnerable children aged 0 to 12 years old, and runs customized welfare programs tailored to children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and nurturing environments.
