Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 16th that it conducted a winter safety inspection from the 9th to the 13th at a total of six construction sites on military and rural roads within the county.
During winter, the drop in temperature, snowfall, and road icing can threaten the safety of construction sites and road users, making thorough inspections and preventive measures even more necessary.
Accordingly, Yeoncheon-gun strengthened safety by not only conducting basic inspections of road construction sites such as foundation ground, slopes, and structural cracks but also prioritizing the safety of road users by additionally installing safety facilities like vehicle guardrails.
Furthermore, to prevent road icing and slip accidents in winter road construction sections, the county secured snow removal equipment and established a response system to carry out emergency snow removal operations.
A Yeoncheon-gun official stated, “Winter safety inspections will not be limited to temporary checks but will be continuously monitored to minimize inconvenience to road users and prevent risks.”
