On the 16th, Musicow announced the launch of ‘Samzzomilsa,’ a digital music distributor, and ‘Eumgamsa X Musicow’ (hereinafter referred to as Eumgamsa).
Eumgamsa is a service that combines streaming and a reward system, providing points to users each time they listen to music or shorts registered on Eumgamsa. Accumulated points can be exchanged for various goods such as gifticons or converted into cash, and can also be used to directly support favorite artists through ‘cheering points’ gifts.
Eumgamsa plans to offer artists a more direct and cost-effective marketing channel. Musicow explained that through Eumgamsa, users will have the experience of supporting artists in a new way and the opportunity to create economic value, while artists will gain new marketing opportunities to promote their names and songs more effectively.
Currently, Eumgamsa offers rewards with songs and shorts from various artists such as Taeyeon, Hwang Chi-yeul, Han Dong-geun, and Lee Seo-yeon, and will feature songs from a wider range of genres and artists in the future.
A Musicow representative said, "Musicow’s vision is to build a virtuous cycle structure between users and artists, capital and culture by enabling the public to participate in the music market in various ways, thereby creating a healthier music ecosystem. The launch of Eumgamsa is also part of realizing this vision, and we will strive to change the paradigm of the music industry by presenting more diverse and enjoyable ways to consume music in the future."
