Geuinmo, Geochang County Governor, Promotes Comprehensive Stability Measures for Residents Following Presidential Impeachment Approval

On the 16th, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced that following the National Assembly's approval of the presidential impeachment motion, an emergency executive meeting was held under the leadership of the county governor to review the progress of measures to stabilize the local economy and the overall lives of residents.

Governor Gu In-mo closely examined the progress of current issues and projects during this emergency meeting, instructing to maximize budget execution by the end of the year to revitalize the local economy and to thoroughly implement support policies for small business owners and vulnerable groups.

He also urged strict safety management to prevent accidents during year-end events and festivals, and called for the preparation of measures to minimize damage caused by natural disasters in winter.

Earlier, on the 7th, in anticipation of concerns about the local economic downturn, the county governor and senior officials remained on emergency standby within the county office to manage the situation for stabilizing people’s livelihoods.

At the Agricultural Products Export Promotion Council meeting held on the 9th, Governor Gu listened to difficulties in agricultural product exports caused by the domestic economic downturn and instability factors, discussed countermeasures, and encouraged the members.

Meanwhile, since the 10th, the county has organized and activated a ‘Local Livelihood Stabilization Task Force’ consisting of five teams to focus on regional stability. Accordingly, Governor Gu repeatedly emphasized the operation of the task force and the establishment of public service discipline during the year-end and New Year period at executive meetings held during the week.

Governor Gu stated, “Public officials must take the lead and carry out current issues and tasks without delay to prevent the contraction of local economic activities,” adding, “Together with about 800 public officials, we will concentrate administrative efforts on stabilizing people’s livelihoods so that residents can work with peace of mind.”
