The Sports Value Center refers to a sports-themed experience facility where the positive values of sports can be experienced. The Sports Value Center construction project is the first of its kind promoted by Paju City in Gyeonggi Province, targeting the Geumneung-dong area of Paju City, with a basic plan establishment service scheduled to be carried out by May 2025.
The city plans to operate facilities and programs that provide a life-cycle tailored physical activity model in response to population aging and allow experiencing sports using new technologies regardless of environmental factors.
Additionally, through holistic education such as sports literacy education to prevent school violence and continuous sports participation by youth, it will provide opportunities to develop lifelong sports.
A Paju City official said, “We will do our best to ensure the successful promotion of the basic plan establishment service for the Sports Value Center,” adding, “We will operate training programs for public institutions and companies, including lodging and stay-type sports experiences, and aim to create a sports city where Paju citizens and residents of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province can sweat healthily, as well as revitalize the local economy.”
