Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) won the Grand Prize in the 2024 Gyeonggi-do ‘Anyone Care’ project city and county evaluation.
‘Anyone Care’ is a project by Gyeonggi-do that supplements gaps in existing care across various fields such as daily care, housing safety, and psychological counseling, providing care services to all citizens.
The Gyeonggi-do ‘Anyone Care’ project city and county evaluation selects outstanding cities and counties by assessing the performance and efforts of each city and county in the province, and this year, six cities and counties within Gyeonggi-do were selected.
Paju City increased resident accessibility by establishing the ‘Anyone Care Support Center’ where residents can easily visit for consultation and guidance on discovery and care support.
In addition, by actively promoting the ‘psychological counseling’ field, citizens facing psychological and emotional difficulties after the COVID-19 crisis can easily use the psychological counseling center, and the ‘meal support’ service is provided with diabetic treatment meals to resolve health and nutrition issues.
Furthermore, since 2020, through the city’s own care project called Hope Plus+ Care Project, Paju has contributed to improving the welfare of local residents by providing various care services such as visiting rehabilitation services.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju said, "This award is the result of steadily promoting the project throughout the year to improve the welfare of local residents," and added, "We will continue to build a dense welfare network to provide care services to Paju citizens in crisis situations."
