Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 16th that it held a performance report meeting of the Yeoju City Community Security Council (Public Chairman Lee Chung-woo, Private Chairman Woo Jin-sook) at the Empress Myeongseong Birthplace Literary Hall on the 12th.

At the event, more than 200 members of the Community Security Council from the townships and city attended, awarding 19 outstanding contributors of the Community Security Council and sharing the achievements of discovering vulnerable households and promoting local specialized projects by the township councils.
In particular, this year’s performance report meeting was well received as it was organized as a time to encourage the hard work of the past year and prepare for the new year by presenting excellent cases and sharing information without evaluating the township councils.
Also, as a pre-event performance, a healing time was provided for the council members who have worked hard to discover neighbors in crisis and develop community welfare through a trot medley and a talk concert by actor and singer Baek Bong-gi, famous for his warm storytelling.
Private Chairman Woo Jin-sook said, “There are about 390 members of the city and township councils active in Yeoju City, and together with the members, we will become a council that strives to solve community problems and discover welfare blind spots.”
Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju City said, “I thank the council members who are working hard for a Yeoju City without welfare blind spots,” and added, “I hope you will communicate and make efforts to develop further as we hold the performance report meeting.”
