The police stated that they have not yet summoned or applied for an arrest warrant for President Yoon Seok-yeol in connection with the 'December 3 Emergency Martial Law' incident.
On the 15th, the Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency said, "We are reviewing summons and warrant applications for President Yoon."
The prosecution announced that on the 11th, they notified President Yoon to appear at 10 a.m. that day, but he did not show up. The prosecution sent an official letter to the Presidential Office requesting President Yoon to appear at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and also sent a summons by mail. They plan to notify a second summons around the 16th.
President Yoon is accused of abusing his authority by declaring an unconstitutional and illegal proclamation for the purpose of disrupting the constitutional order (rebellion) on the 3rd, and ordering martial law commanders to deploy military forces to the National Assembly and the National Election Commission to arrest key figures including representatives of ruling and opposition parties.
