Rokamera "Alliance Defense Will Remains Strong"
Acting President Han Duck-soo shared opinions on the ROK-US defense posture with General Paul LaCamera, Commander of the United States Forces Korea, and urged preparedness against potential provocations by North Korea taking advantage of the South's chaotic situation.
In a phone call with General LaCamera on the afternoon of the 15th, Acting President Han expressed gratitude, saying, "I appreciate the dedication of the US Forces Korea committed to the ROK-US alliance and the responsible efforts of the Commander of the United States Forces Korea."

Acting President Han expressed concern that North Korea might attempt various forms of military provocations, including ballistic missiles, in the current emergency situation. He added, "Establishing a firm ROK-US combined defense posture is more important than ever," and urged, "We must strengthen communication between the ROK and the US to ensure the alliance remains unwavering."
General LaCamera reaffirmed his firm commitment to combined defense and responded that, as the Commander of the ROK-US Combined Forces Command, he will continue to carry out planned joint exercises and training. He emphasized, "As the Commander of the United Nations Command and the United States Forces Korea, I will faithfully fulfill my responsibilities regarding readiness, implementation of the armistice agreement, and strengthening the capabilities of the combined forces."
