The Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency stated on the 15th that it is "under review" regarding the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office (HOCI)'s re-request to transfer the 'December 3 Emergency Martial Law Incident' case.
On the afternoon of the 13th, HOCI again requested the prosecution and police to transfer the 'December 3 Emergency Martial Law Incident' case. HOCI explained, "For the police conducting joint investigations, we plan to review additional cases deemed appropriate for investigation by HOCI, considering the progress of the investigations, and then specifically request the transfer again." This implies that the scope of cases to be transferred can be narrowed through consultation with the police.
On the 11th, HOCI formed a Joint Investigation Headquarters with the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency and the Ministry of National Defense Investigation Headquarters to ensure a swift and efficient investigation of the emergency martial law incident.
