Fostering Future Talent... Creative Convergence Competition
Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power held the 'Saewool Youth SW-AI Creative Convergence Education Challenge' to help teenagers develop their ability to creatively utilize software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution era, and to discover and nurture future science and technology talents in the region.
On the 14th, the Saewool Youth SW-AI Creative Convergence Education Challenge was held at Onsan-eup Administrative Welfare Town. Provided by Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters.
The competition held on the 14th at the Onsan-eup Administrative Welfare Town in Ulju-gun saw 70 participants from 22 teams of elementary and middle school students from Seosaeng and Onyang present metaverse projects that created virtual spaces using SW-AI technology on themes such as the Earth, environment, and energy resources.
Various experience booths were also operated, allowing participants to try coding education learning equipment such as Ozobot and NeoSoko.
Soyuseop, head of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, “Saewool Headquarters supports teenagers by providing opportunities to learn future core technologies and explore creatively, helping them build interest and confidence in science.” He added, “We hope that local students who will lead the future can nurture bigger dreams through this opportunity.”
