Since the National Assembly passed the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol at the plenary session the day before, the Presidential Office will assist Acting President Han in carrying out duties until the Constitutional Court delivers its impeachment ruling.
Chief Jung told reporters that day, "Since the Secretariat will need to assist the Acting President going forward, we discussed overall cooperation on work matters."
Acting President Han said, "From now on, all organizations will transform into entities supporting the Acting President, and the Secretariat’s role was reported by Chief Jung along with the Policy Office Director."

President Yoon cannot exercise constitutionally guaranteed presidential powers such as the command of the armed forces and appointment and dismissal of public officials until the Constitutional Court’s ruling is issued. These duties will be handled by Prime Minister Han.
Acting President Han is expected to exercise authority after discussing personnel reshuffles and appointments with the Presidential Office.
Previously, during the impeachment of President Park Geun-hye, Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn received reports on work coordination from then Chief of the Presidential Secretariat Han Kwang-ok and shared responsibilities.
The National Security Office will also continue essential security and diplomatic duties, including North Korea-related issues, while assisting the Acting President.
Chief Jung is expected to begin full support duties after sharing the discussions with Acting President Han with presidential aides.
