[Weather] Gwangju and Jeonnam to Remain Cloudy and Cold for the Time Being

Gwangju and Jeonnam will continue to experience mostly cloudy and cold weather for the time being.


According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on the 15th, Gwangju and Jeonnam experienced below-freezing temperatures with occasional rain or snow.


Most areas in Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to receive around 5mm of rain on the 16th. Inland Jeonnam, where snow is forecasted, is expected to see 1 to 5 cm of snowfall.


The morning low temperatures are expected to be -1°C in Naju, Damyang, and Hwasun; 0°C in Gwangyang, Yeongam, and Suncheon; 1°C in Gwangju and Yeonggwang; 2°C in Muan, Yeosu, and Haenam; and 3°C in Mokpo and Wando. The daytime highs will range from 7°C to 10°C, with Wando at 10°C; Gwangyang and Haenam at 9°C; Naju, Mokpo, Muan, Suncheon, Yeosu, and Yeongam at 8°C; and Gwangju, Damyang, Yeonggwang, and Hwasun at 7°C, showing a higher distribution compared to the previous day.


Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the southern sea and the western sea nearshore areas. Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' in Gwangju and Jeonnam.


A representative from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration said, “Morning temperatures will drop below freezing mainly in inland Jeonnam, and with slightly strong winds, the wind chill will make it feel even colder. Please take care of your health.”
