An Opportunity to Recognize the Contributions of Distinguished Youth Leaders and Exemplary Youth in the Community
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the "15th Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Leaders Awards Ceremony" at the Masanhappo-gu Office main conference room.
The awards ceremony held on the 14th was hosted by the Korea Youth Newspaper and organized by the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Leaders Awards Organizing Committee. Awards such as the Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Commendation, Gyeongsangnam-do Superintendent of Education's Commendation, Changwon Special City Mayor's Commendation, Changwon Special City Council Chairman's Commendation, and National Assembly Member's Commendation were presented to 100 recipients divided into youth leaders and exemplary youth categories.
The awardees were selected through an internal merit review committee from among leaders with distinguished service in youth-related volunteer activities and exemplary youth who have shown filial piety to parents and loyalty to the country.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, attended the ceremony and said, “I sincerely congratulate the youth leaders and exemplary youth who have worked hard to help young people grow healthily and properly. The city will make active and diverse efforts to create an environment where youth can become leaders and lead future society.”
