Yangcheon-gu, 'Walk the Dullegil Trail and Win Prizes'... Operating Carbon Neutral Stamp Tour

Operated at Sinjeongsan Dullegil and Yangcheon Park

Yangcheon-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) operates the stamp tour “Green Footprints on Yangcheon Dullegil,” which promotes health improvement and carbon neutrality simultaneously by walking through forest trails and parks in the city, at “Sinjeongsan Dullegil” and “Yangcheon Park.”

“Green Footprints on Dullegil” is a stamp tour program where participants collect 25 stamps by answering questions about climate, environment, and Yangcheon-gu’s ecology displayed at specific points along the trail. Through solving these questions, participants can gain basic knowledge about environmental conservation while enjoying the benefits of exercise.

To participate, scan the QR codes installed throughout Sinjeongsan Dullegil and Yangcheon Park with a mobile phone to access the program. The upgraded version 2.0 of the Sinjeongsan Dullegil program offers two courses: the “Environment Course,” which covers climate and environmental issues, and the “Ecology Course,” which focuses on Yangcheon-gu’s ecology. Participants answer questions at 25 check-in points per program, and upon successful completion of the chosen experience, they can participate in other games as well. An information board displays the entire course so participants can easily identify their current location.

At Yangcheon Park, a newly developed eco-orienteering game called “Seed Explorers of Life” is available. Participants solve various types of problems such as quizzes and puzzles at 11 locations along the park’s walking trails, collecting five seeds of life. This activity adds fun and helps participants appreciate the importance of the global environment.

The district also runs an event for participants of “Green Footprints on Dullegil.” Those who collect all stamps or items (seeds) in the program will receive monthly first-come, first-served mobile convenience store gift certificates, mushroom-making kits, and a set of 25 plant cards.

Meanwhile, Sinjeongsan Dullegil is a 2.7 km loop trail around Sinjeongsan Mountain, consisting of a “barrier-free deck path” (2.4 km) with a slope of less than 8% and a gentle “dirt walking trail” (0.3 km), allowing people with mobility challenges such as the disabled, elderly, and those with strollers to comfortably enjoy the forest.

Mayor Lee Gi-jae said, “I hope many people show interest and participate in this Dullegil leisure program, where they can practice carbon neutrality and observe representative plants of Yangcheon-gu while walking through forest trails and parks.” He added, “We will continue to discover and promote diverse park leisure programs to create a vibrant city full of energy in daily life.”
