With the impeachment motion against the incumbent president passing through the National Assembly for the third time in constitutional history, the government has transitioned to a system led by Acting President and Prime Minister Han Deok-su. In response, ministers and vice ministers of various government departments convened emergency meetings and conducted on-site inspections to review pressing issues in their respective fields.

On the 14th, Acting President Han issued an urgent directive to all government departments and public officials immediately after the National Assembly's resolution on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol, urging the maintenance of social order. On the same day, before delivering his first public address as Acting President, he convened an emergency Cabinet meeting to review key issues in areas such as the economy, security, and society, and discussed the future direction of state affairs management.

Accordingly, each ministry has also begun internal discussions and inspections. Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, plans to hold an emergency meeting of economic-related ministers on the afternoon of the 15th, followed by a meeting of foreign affairs ministers. After presiding over the ministerial meetings, he intends to convene the Macroeconomic and Financial Issues Meeting (F4).

Lee Ju-ho, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, will attend the emergency economic ministers' meeting on the same day and subsequently convene an emergency meeting of social sector ministers to discuss social issues.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety also took immediate action. Ko Ki-dong, Acting Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, visited the Central Disaster and Safety Situation Room at the Seoul Situation Center at 8:40 p.m. after the impeachment vote to inspect disaster management status. Acting Minister Ko emphasized maintaining a thorough disaster response system in cooperation with local governments and urged sufficient preparations to minimize damage from winter cold waves and heavy snowfall.

He also requested special attention to managing situations at year-end and New Year events where large crowds gather to prevent safety accidents, and urged the police to pay close attention to maintaining public order, as crimes infringing on people's livelihoods may increase.

At a senior officials' meeting attended by bureau and department heads, he stressed, "Given the gravity of the situation, we must carry out our assigned duties without fail to ensure the stability of the daily lives of the people and faithfully fulfill our responsibilities as servants to the entire nation."

On the morning of the 15th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to hold a meeting of deputy heads of cities and provinces chaired by Acting Minister Ko, requesting cooperation so that local governments can focus on restoring regional livelihoods.
