"Committed to Doing Our Best Until the End for Citizens' Daily Life Recovery and Livelihood Stability"
Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, Gyeonggi Province, stated on the 14th regarding the passage of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol, "This clearly reflects the will and intention of the people, once again demonstrating that no power can ever overcome the people."
The mayor said, "Since the emergency martial law situation, driven by a single-minded determination to protect democracy together with the citizens, I have continued one-person protests as well as sit-ins at the National Assembly, calling for the president's impeachment, and have made every effort to protect the safety and livelihoods of Anseong citizens who are suffering from the double hardship caused by heavy snowfall."
He added, "The passage of the impeachment motion achieved together with the people still has the next step of the Constitutional Court's acceptance remaining, so all political circles must unite with the hope that no one will suffer or struggle anymore."
Mayor Kim continued, "Anseong City will not be shaken by the impeachment political situation or the large-scale heavy snowfall and will strive with a more proactive attitude to stabilize livelihoods and restore daily life, while doing our utmost to instill hope for the future in our citizens until the very end."
