The Korea Employers Federation (KEF) on the 14th urged the government, National Assembly, and labor sector to make efforts for a swift stabilization of the political situation following the passage of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol.
In a statement released that day, KEF said, "The business community hopes that the turbulent political situation will stabilize quickly," and added, "Companies will do their best to faithfully fulfill their roles to ensure economic stability."
It continued, "To minimize the national governance confusion caused by the impeachment crisis, the government must strengthen its emergency economic response system," and "The National Assembly should demonstrate bipartisan leadership and cooperation between ruling and opposition parties for wise and prompt resolution of the situation."
It also stated, "We hope the labor sector, as a responsible economic actor in our society, will join forces to maintain social stability and overcome the economic crisis."
