Office worker Kim Tae-eun shouted on the stage of the presidential resignation rally in front of the National Assembly in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on the 14th, "Resign, Yoon Suk-yeol, the ringleader of the rebellion," and "Disband the People Power Party."
Kim Tae-eun said, "Shouldn't we live in a world where ordinary Korean citizens no longer have to hold candlelight vigils?" and emphasized, "We must uphold the constitution and follow legal procedures to set the Republic of Korea right. The orderly resignation demanded by the People Power Party is unacceptable."
Kim Jena stated, "We must restore the collapsed democratic order. We will fight to the end," and declared, "The People Power Party should join the impeachment of Yoon Suk-yeol."
Kim Jena added, "We will wait for the brilliant sun of democracy to rise," and said, "With a burning thirst, we will awaken, move forward, and shout."
The rally organizer, 'Emergency Action for Immediate Resignation of Yoon Suk-yeol and Social Reform,' reported that more than one million people attended the event that day. The police's unofficial estimate was 200,000 people.
