Prosecutor's Special Investigation Unit Questions 9th Airborne Brigade Commander as Suspect
While investigating the December 3 emergency martial law incident, the prosecution summoned Brigadier General Ahn Mu-seong, commander of the 9th Airborne Brigade under the Army Special Warfare Command, on the 14th.
According to the legal community, the Prosecution's Special Investigation Headquarters for Emergency Martial Law (headed by Park Se-hyun, Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office) called Ahn Mu-seong, commander of the 9th Airborne Brigade, in the afternoon on that day for questioning as a suspect.
Park Seon-won, a member of the National Assembly's National Defense Committee from the Democratic Party of Korea, revealed on the 3rd that there was a report that two battalions of the 9th Airborne Brigade in Incheon moved to the National Assembly and waited on the outskirts at the time President Yoon Seok-yeol declared emergency martial law.
The Ministry of National Defense confirmed that Commander Ahn deployed troops at the time of the emergency martial law declaration and prohibited his departure through the Ministry of Justice.
