Wibyang Hospital Holds Health Lecture for Cancer Patients Receiving Treatment

A health lecture for cancer patients, their families, and caregivers will be held.

Wibiang Hospital announced on the 13th that it will hold a lecture consisting of four sessions at 3 p.m. on the 18th in the seminar room of the main building of Wibiang Hospital in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The first session will be presented by Dr. Hongchan Lee, director of Wibiang Hospital, who will explain immune management and gut health necessary for cancer patients. In the second session, Nutrition Team Leader Jungmin Yoo will introduce gut health immune diets for cancer patients. The third session will be led by physical therapist Seohyun Kim, who will discuss lymphatic drainage therapy effective for treating and preventing complications. The final fourth session will be Dr. Lee's lecture on "The Effects of Radiofrequency Hyperthermia and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy."

Dr. Hongchan Lee said, "Cancer patients suffer not only from surgery, metastasis, and recurrence but also from side effects and complications caused by long-term treatment. We must provide immune therapy through gut health and anti-cancer diets so that patients can comfortably undergo cancer treatment. Additionally, combined therapies tailored to side effects and characteristics, such as lymphatic drainage, radiofrequency hyperthermia, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, should be used to promote rapid recovery."

Meanwhile, anyone interested in cancer treatment, including patients, families, and caregivers, can apply for this lecture and participate through advance reservation.
