Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) successfully held the Hope 2025 "Happy Gwangju through Sharing" public broadcast fundraising event on the 13th at the multipurpose gymnasium on the 3rd floor of the Gwangju Cultural Sports Center.

About 1,000 people, including Mayor Bang Se-hwan, various institutions and organizations, local businesses, and citizens, attended the event to brighten the occasion. The event featured a variety of programs, including the presentation ceremony for the Sharing Distinguished Company Certification Plaque, the delivery of 1,000 milk carton piggy banks for infants and toddlers at daycare centers, a joint donation ceremony for helping neighbors by local companies and organizations, fundraising parts I and II, and a donation ceremony for air purifiers to low-income and marginalized groups.
The commemorative performances included ▶ Einsbaum, which aims for social integration with people with disabilities, slow learners, and non-disabled individuals ▶ singer Oh Seung-ha, who made a dazzling debut on TV Chosun's "Miss Trot 3" with a unique tone based on traditional Korean music ▶ and a performance by the Gwangju Women's Choir, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
Also, at the Sharing Distinguished Company Certification Plaque presentation ceremony, which recognizes companies practicing sharing with the purpose of creating social value and contributing to the public good based on interest in local social issues, Seyong Gijeon Co., Ltd. participated.
At the joint donation ceremony for cash and goods donors, the following participated: ▲ Nonghyup Gwangju Branch Nonghyup Bank Co., Ltd., Gwangju Nonghyup, Docheok Nonghyup, Opo Nonghyup, Jungbu Nonghyup, Chowol Nonghyup, Toechon Nonghyup, and Gwangju District Livestock Nonghyup donated 25 million KRW ▲ Gwangju Urban Management Corporation Environmental Planning Team donated 10 million KRW ▲ Cowon Energy Service donated 10 million KRW ▲ National Health Insurance Service Gyeonggi Gwangju Branch donated a box of childcare products from Haneul Bandage (worth about 3 million KRW) ▲ Next Generation Management Association donated 6 million KRW ▲ Comprehensive Groundwater Development Co., Ltd. donated 3 million KRW ▲ Kyunghwa Girls' High School donated 700,000 KRW, among many other companies, institutions, and organizations.
Furthermore, to promote the Hope 2025 Happy Gwangju through Sharing public broadcast and to revitalize the donation culture, Greeny & Cleany donation boxes were installed on the 1st and 2nd floors of the city hall, enriching the fundraising event.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the heads of institutions and organizations and citizens who helped make the Hope 2025 'Happy Gwangju through Sharing' public broadcast fundraising event a success," adding, "I hope not only those who attended but all Gwangju citizens have a happy and warm year-end, and that you welcome a more hopeful new year in 2025, the Year of Eulsa."
