2024 Goyang-si Social Security Project Performance Sharing Meeting Held

Sharing the Achievements of Goyang-si Community Security Council's Efforts to Identify and Support Neighbors in Need

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) and the Goyang City Community Security Council (Private Chairman Lee Man-su) announced on the 13th that they held the ‘2024 Goyang Special City Social Security Project Performance Sharing Meeting’ at the Byeolmorae Theater in Goyang Eoullim Nuri on the 12th.

The event was attended by about 340 people, including Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, Kim Un-nam, Chairman of the Goyang Special City Council, members of the Culture and Welfare Committee, social welfare facility workers, members of the Dong Community Security Council, welfare officials, and local residents.

The Social Security Project Performance Sharing Meeting is an occasion to share the achievements of public and private cooperation throughout the year to develop local welfare in Goyang City and to encourage the hard work so far.

At this event, commendations were awarded to the mayor of Goyang and the chairman of the Goyang City Council for their contributions to the activation of social security in Goyang City, 12 outstanding neighborhoods were recognized based on the 2024 welfare work evaluation results, awards were given to excellent subcommittees and outstanding members of the Community Security Council, and certificates of appreciation were presented to organizations that practiced caring for neighbors in need and warm donations.

In addition, a video showcasing the achievements of the 2024 annual plan implementation of the 5th Goyang City Community Security Plan (2023?2026) and the activities of the council was screened, followed by a performance wishing for the development of social security in Goyang City.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang said, “The members of the Dong Community Security Council and social welfare facility workers who took responsibility for neighbors in crisis and welfare blind spots throughout the year have worked very hard,” and expressed his gratitude, saying, “All attendees are meritorious contributors who have generously worked for Goyang Special City.”
