Ultra-fine microfiber thermal underwear, earmuffs, gloves, and hot packs?4 items directly delivered to recipients' households through life support workers
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will provide cold-weather supplies such as ultra-microfiber thermal underwear to vulnerable groups during the cold wave.
The district announced that it plans to support a total of four types of cold-weather supplies to 1,500 elderly people who are recipients of customized elderly care services within the region by the end of this month.
The cold-weather supplies consist of ultra-microfiber thermal underwear, earmuffs, gloves, and hot packs. The composition of the supplies was decided after gathering the elderly's demand opinions.
Distribution will be carried out through 136 life support workers affiliated with senior welfare centers and home care support centers, delivering the items directly to the recipients' households.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Elderly people are especially vulnerable to cold-related illnesses such as hypothermia and frostbite during winter. We hope that the cold-weather supplies prepared by the district, including thermal underwear, will greatly help protect the health of our elderly citizens.”
The district has prepared a comprehensive winter plan and is currently implementing detailed measures. On the 10th, a meeting with 15 related departments was held to review the progress of the cold wave comprehensive measures and the implementation of safety inspections for facilities to prevent winter fires.
