Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) held the "14th Namyangju City Social Workers Conference" on the 12th at The Dreamping in Hwado-eup, with about 230 social workers working at social welfare facilities, institutions, and organizations in the area attending.

The event was organized by the Namyangju City Social Workers Association, and awards were presented to 24 outstanding social workers who performed their duties based on a strong sense of mission and professionalism.
Additionally, there was a cultural performance to prevent burnout among frontline social workers, followed by a time for communication and harmony to foster cooperation and collaboration with various institutions.
Ji Min-gyu, president of the Namyangju City Social Workers Association, said, "I hope this will be a moment for social workers who have passionately fulfilled their roles in the field of social welfare to take a brief rest," and added, "We will protect the rights of social workers and lead changes in the welfare field."
Joo Gwang-deok, mayor of Namyangju City, stated, "Thanks to the dedication and passion of social workers, Namyangju's welfare policies have been able to develop further," and said, "On behalf of the 740,000 citizens of Namyangju, I sincerely thank all social workers."
